Magic Eden, a prominent NFT marketplace, has announced the launch of its latest Diamond claim, aimed at Ethereum OGs.

Users can now claim diamonds by simply visiting the Magic Eden website, connecting their Ethereum wallets, and posting an automated tweet.

The Diamond claim feature extends its rewards to all Ethereum NFT traders dating back to 2017, in a unique retroactive rewarding system. The number of diamonds allocated to users is determined by various factors based on "when you did your volume, where you did your volume and finally, additional weight for royalties." Trading activities on platforms like Blur and Opensea are taken into consideration.

Renowned traders like Pranksy have reportedly earned up to 120,000 diamonds for claim upfront, with the potential for further rewards through Magic Eden quests.

Currently, Magic Eden diamonds are trading as high as $0.1099 on Whales Market, with an average asking price of $0.0477 per diamond.

In the past 24 hours, Magic Eden and Blur share a market dominance of approximately 35% each, showcasing a balanced competition. Meanwhile, previously one of the most prominent NFT marketplaces, Opensea, lags behind with a market share below 7.5%.
