The competition is intensifying as different blockchain networks, most notably Optimism and ZkSync (check their proposals here and here respectively), vie for the consideration of @treasuredao to migrate and establish their presence within its ecosystem.

TreasureDAO, originally inspired by the project Loot (for Adventurers), has been a strong advocate of decentralization within web3 gaming. The prospect of migrating to an entirely different network is not unfamiliar to them. In November 2021, they successfully migrated from Ethereum to Arbitrum, establishing themselves as a powerhouse in the gaming ecosystem.

Hunter, a community strategist at Offchain Labs, emphasizes the deep integration of TreasureDAO into Arbitrum, stating in a recent X post that "Treasure is ingrained into Arbitrum as the technology itself." The significant role played by Treasure in capturing and representing value on the Arbitrum network is evident.

As the largest delegate on Arbitrum at a governance level, TreasureDAO possesses large responsibilities and actively contributes to the ecosystem and community, making a move to a different chain a complex decision with uncertainties.

Co-Founder Karel conveyed in a Twitter Spaces session:

I don't want to do this, but if we were to, it would be the last time we do it

Without a doubt, migration processes can be time-intensive, potentially costly, and demanding.

Overall, the increased demand from other chains, such as Optimism and zkSync, indicates a positive trend for the ecosystem. With proposals from these networks, the onus is now on TreasureDAO to thoroughly assess and make a decision that aligns with the interests of their community, builders, and the long-term sustainability of their ecosystem.

The question is: will there be a next contender to bid?
