May 2022: Rektguy NFTs

The journey began with a free mint of 8,814 Rektguy NFTs.
There was no monetisation, no roadmap — just vibes.
The simplicity and authenticity resonated, especially as Crypto entered the bear market.
 
 

2022–2023: Community Growth

A strong, organic community emerged. Why?
Because the team gave without taking, and the idea of being "rekt" was universally relatable.
The Rekt community felt the founders had genuine intentions.
And having launched just before the bear market, it only made the community even stronger.

Summer 2023: Meme to Brand

Seeing untapped potential, the team pivoted from meme to brand.
The REKT logo (based on a founder’s handwriting) felt like it belonged on shelves.
The team chose to start with drinks:
  • sparkling water
  • low in sugar
  • caffeine-free
  • on-brand with the Rektguy aesthetic
 
 

Bridging Web3 and IRL

Early 2024: Rekt Drinks for IRL Events

10,000 cans were manufactured for IRL events.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
OSF and the team had evidence that REKT could exist beyond Twitter and Discord…
 

April 2024: Equity Drop

In a bold move, 10% of Rekt Brands Inc. was given to Rektguy NFT holders (5% claimed) using a compliant equity crowdfunding model.
No one was promised equity — it was a voluntary alignment between brand and community.
A major step taken to show that Rekt Brands were taking thing seriously.
 

October 2024: Liquidated Lime Launch

222,000 Liquidated Lime drinks sold out in under 48 hours!
The U.S. supply sold out in 4 hours. Global stock was gone in less than two days.
In terms of daily sales volume, REKT outpaced some of the UK’s top sparkling water brands.
The Web3-to-IRL narrative wasn’t just talk — it had legs.

November 2024: $REKT Launch

The $REKT token dropped with no vesting.
It was distributed among NFT holders, social contributors, customers, and the core team.
Nearly 40% was reserved for future incentives.
 
 

April 2025: Strategic Buybacks

Rekt Brands Inc. initiated its first buyback of $REKT using actual revenue from drink sales
Around $100,000 worth of $REKT was purchased at ~$20M valuation.
This signaled confidence and kickstarted the $REKT flywheel:
Product Sales → Token Support → More Attention → More Sales

May 2025: Abstract Apple Launch (222K Cans) Sells Out In 40 Minutes

At 6PM BST on May 7, 2025, Rekt Drinks’ Abstract Apple flavour went live on their site.
By 6:40PM BST, the drinks (223,000 to be exact) sold out globally.
The drop was in collaboration with Abstract Chain.
Each case sold came with crypto rewards.
Cases of 24 cans were sold for $69.69 (+ shipping and applicable tax).
Buyers could purchase cases using both crypto and traditional fiat currencies.
Rekt Brands followed this up with another $100K buyback at an FDV of ~$60M.
Oh, and they also acquired the rekt.com domain!

June 2025: Ship Rekt Launch (180K Cans) Sells Out Within 17 Minutes

At 6PM UTC on Jun 3, 2025, the Rekt Drinks’ “Ship Rekt” mint went live.
By 6:17PM UTC, they sold out 7,500 NFTs representing 180K cans.
The drop was in collaboration with OpenSea, where the mint went live.
It marked yet another major success for Rekt Brands and Rekt Drinks specifically.

June 2025: Sold Out In 7Eleven

“Rekt is going mainstream.”
That was sentiment when Rekt Drinks announced that they’ll be hitting the shelves in the largest convenience store chain in the world, 7Eleven.

The “Rekt Takeover” lasted 3 days, and all drinks completely sold out at each event.
And of course, buyers were rewarded like usual.
It was a statement. One that further boosted the brand’s credibility.
One that could mark the beginning of Rekt Drinks being adopted by mainstream outlets.
 

July 2025: 68% of the way there

Rekt Drinks are aiming for 1 million drinks sold within 12 months.
They’ve sold 681,7410 so far (~68%)
